About
Virtual Autonomy is a UK-based interactive technology company specialising in augmented reality exhibits, immersive experiences, and multiplayer game development. Founded by Yulia Marunchak (MA, PGCertEd, FHEA), a creative technologist with a background in higher education and international research into virtual worlds as platforms for learning, simulation, and human-to-human engagement.
We create bespoke augmented reality installations and interactive exhibits for clients across culture, education, and entertainment - as well as multiplayer game experiences built on modern networked infrastructure. We also contribute to digital learning initiatives in higher education, helping institutions explore new approaches to teaching, accessibility and engagement.
The aim of Virtual Autonomy is to bridge the gap between technical systems and meaningful human experiences - whether that's a visitor exploring an interactive exhibit or players connecting in a shared game world.
Philosophy
The name Virtual Autonomy reflects a simple idea:
